This blog keeps track of various creative projects I'm working on and news about those projects. During the day I work as the public geek at Takoma Park Maryland Library, helping people use the Internet on the 28 Linux stations at the library and adjoining community center. Most of these blog postings are education oriented, as I work as an outside-of-school educator. I'd like to thank Google for the 20 percent time I've given to myself for creative projects.

Book talk - Richard A. Stack on his book Dead Wrong

This spellbinding book talk was given by Richard A. Stack at The Culture Shop, on Cedar St. NW, Washington DC on 9/29/2007.

Here is a QuickTime file of the first 30 minutes of the talk.

Here is a QuickTime file of the second 30 minutes of the talk.

This file should play well on any computer from 1998 onwards.

Here's what I took away from the talk. The word "gallows" has the same word derivation as the word "gala," which also means festival. It's probably a good idea to stop having a festival of killing criminals.

Heartfelt thanks are owed to Valentine, the proprietor of The Culture Shop for hosting this event.
